Who Are The Farmyard Darlings?
Farmyard Darlings originated at the end of November 2010 by Kim Berry and Carole Sinclair - cowgirls at heart - who left their corporate jobs and combined their retail business and marketing skills to create a company devoted to repurposing vintage wares and creating custom furniture from reclaimed wood.
Both Lafayette, California residents, Berry and Sinclair may not have grown up on dusty back roads, but they both have a fond attachment to rural, ranch-style living and anything horsey. With their enthusiastic country sass and a tad of city class, they are able to successfully capture a unique sensibility with the products they offer and the projects they build.
Farmyard Darlings is an authentic brand that people can identify with -- especially if looking for products that are a bit less generic and a lot more country chic. Contact Kim Berry at 925-899-0345 if interested in a custom barn door and Carole Sinclait at 925-818-1039 for a custom farm table.
When it comes to Farmyard Darlings aesthetics -- expect the unexpected. Items that would have gone unnoticed and unappreciated is front and center when "The Darlings" get a hold of it. It's simple. They reintroduce a piece from the past and repurpose it into something functional. (For example, chicken feeders as centerpieces, ladders as towel racks, troughs used as sinks, truck tailgates as benches, horseshoes as coat racks, and much, much more.
"The Darlings" have an unpretentious, authentic, rustic-style that seems to be what's in their blood and, so far, they seem to be having a boot-scooting time!
